Your hold is ready! (12. 12. 22)
Hello all, and happy end-of-the-year!
2022 has been a year of big changes and accomplishments for me –– another year editing swallow::tale press and Stone of Madness, a year of publications, including bugbutter and Out of Mind & Into Body. A year of conferences both online and in-person, and even a year of reuniting with old friends at Mount Holyoke, my alma mater, for a two-years-belated graduation/reunion celebration. I’m so grateful for these opportunities, and for you all as readers and friends. I hope you’ve been enjoying my recs (and maybe even my life updates!) as much as I have.
Before we move onto the recommendations, I want to include a few updates here in case you missed them! I’ve started a paid counterpart to this (always-free) newsletter. Here’s a subscription button you can click to either add or update your subscription:
I’ve also started a newsletter for swallow::tale press, which has both free and paid options. If you’re a Mad writer with poems and short prose (and other uncategorizable content!) you’d like to be featured on the newsletter, submit them to me here. You’ll get $10 per published piece.
Not going to frontload things too much, so I’ll leave my intro there. I wish you an wonderful, safe, and cozy winter, and I’m so excited to start 2023 with more recommendations for everyone.
Happy Hanukkah, merry Christmas, and happy new year!
