Your hold is ready! (6.22.22)
Hi all, it’s been a while!
Happy almost-end-of-June. I’m coming at you from a very, very warm Davis, relieved to have some time away from class and more focused toward my personal creative projects –– there’s much on the horizon! For now, I’ll just plug my call for submissions from nonbinary/genderqueer speculative writers over at beestung (open through 7/05) and my NeMLA panel on Mad prose/poetics and narrative noncompliance, taking abstracts through 9/30.
As for publications by me, there’s a bunch of exciting stuff forthcoming, not least a chapbook from Gap Riot Press –– I’ll be saying more about that in July!
Lastly: be sure to check out swallow::tale press, a Mad press for Mad manuscripts, co-run by myself and my co-conspirator and fellow Mad creator, Feyxuan. Browse our bookstore and be in touch with questions and suggestions. We’re open to submissions from Mad writers of color only, and will likely remain open through the middle of August. Send in those manuscripts & check twitter for more info about what we like!
Okay, now to the recommendations.
